Job Summary

Actionmarguerite is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, as well as our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, including boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, including generators, switchgear, and distribution panels.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our facilities.
  • Train and develop employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including the Power Engineers Acts.

Requirements

  • Valid Manitoba or Inter-provincial 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Power Engineering, with a strong background in facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and develop employees.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check deemed satisfactory by the Employer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the use of personal computers and various software.
  • Knowledge of HIPPO and other maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to work within a team to establish best practices and achieve budgetary goals.
