We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to join our team at Marriott International. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds with particular attention towards safety, security, and asset protection. Key responsibilities include assigning, tracking, and following up on the status of work assigned to staff and contractors. You will help increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communications and training.

Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area.
  • Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
  • Ability to ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Assist in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
  • Monitor timeliness and quality of completion of repair work orders.
  • Supervise Engineering and related areas in absence of the Director of Engineering.
  • Assist in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
  • Ensure regular on-going communication occurs with employees to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations, and recognize performance.
