About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Sicilian Pasta Kitchen (South) Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
