SAPPHIRE SOUTH INDIAN KITCHEN is seeking a highly skilled and organized Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Ordering supplies and equipment
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Cleaning kitchen and work areas
- Managing kitchen operations
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and service, with excellent organizational and leadership skills. Requirements:
- College/CEGEP education
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
