Job Title: Staff Android Engineer

Reddit is seeking a highly skilled Staff Android Engineer to lead our mobile development team in creating a seamless user experience for our Gold and Contributor Program. As a key member of our team, you will design, build, and ship Android client features that enable users to monetize their contributions on Reddit.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
  • Develop customer-facing public applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to craft compelling user experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with teams in a fully-remote environment.
  • Mentor engineers, own team processes, and lead cross-functional projects.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years mobile development experience with multiple parts of the Android stack.
  • Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
  • Experience developing customer-facing public applications is preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and self-directed approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
