Staff Android Engineer

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Android engineer to lead our team in developing and shipping Android client features that enable users to monetize their contributions on Reddit. You will be responsible for designing, building, and shipping high-quality features that meet the needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex Android client features that meet the needs of our users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to craft compelling user experiences.
- Contribute to team strategy and planning, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our users.
- Communicate effectively with teams in a fully-remote environment, discussing complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
- 5+ years of experience in mobile development with multiple parts of the Android stack.
- Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
- Experience developing customer-facing public applications is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to act like a startup CEO in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
