About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Android Engineer to lead our mobile development team in creating innovative features for users to monetize their contributions on Reddit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and ship Android client features that enable users to earn rewards for their contributions.
  • Balance speed and quality in a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Contribute to team strategy, collaborating with product managers and designers to craft compelling user experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, discussing complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of mobile development experience with multiple parts of the Android stack, with a strong focus on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
  • Experience developing customer-facing public applications, with a bias towards action in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, own team processes, and lead cross-functional projects.
