We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant in our Employment & Labour Department. The successful candidate will provide high-level support to our lawyers, enhancing practice efficiency. This role requires experience working in an Employment & Labour practice, as well as strong multi-tasking, administrative, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate document workflow, including drafting, formatting, finalizing, and distributing documents, correspondence, and materials.
- Manage the lawyers' Inbox and Calendar, staying up-to-date on file developments.
- Provide administrative assistance and coordinate logistics for client meetings, travel, and hospitality arrangements.
- Support client development activities, such as managing lawyer bios and updating client relationship databases.
- Manage new file setup, including gathering and researching information for client intake processes and workspace management.
- Receive, research, prepare for, and follow up on audit inquiries.
- Perform other duties as required to achieve Firm objectives.
Requirements:
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Be detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have strong organizational skills to effectively multi-task.
- Take initiative and work independently, taking full responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Have knowledge of legal procedures and Employment & Labour practice.
- Have solid drafting and proofreading skills.

We are working in a hybrid arrangement, requiring primarily in-office work and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
