Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Employment Law Associate to provide administrative support to our lawyers. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate document workflow, including drafting, formatting, finalizing, and distributing documents, correspondence, and materials. Effectively utilize document production services and other resources for lengthy document production activities.
- Manage the LPs' Inbox and Calendar, keeping current on developments within files.
- Provide administrative assistance and coordinate logistics of client meetings, make travel and hospitality arrangements as required.
- Support client development activities, such as managing LPs' bios and entering/updating information into client relationship database.
- Manage new file setup, including gathering and researching information for client intake process, workspace management, creating and managing files in document management system.
- Receive, research, prepare for, and follow up on audit inquiries.
- Maintain high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills required to effectively multitask.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, taking full responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Knowledge of legal procedures and Employment & Labour practice.
- Solid drafting and proofreading skills.
As an Employment Law Associate at Osler, you can expect a competitive salary, estimated around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Our hybrid work arrangement includes flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week and access to various employee benefits. Please note that employment at Osler is conditional on complying with vaccination policies adopted by the firm in response to public health recommendations.
