Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing respiratory care to patients with a variety of illnesses and diseases, including acute and chronic cardio-respiratory conditions.
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care and quality of life.
  • Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date clinical competence.
  • Contribute to committees and research projects as assigned.

Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligibility for registration.
  • Current valid BC Driver's License as required in the specific practice area.

  • Human Caring and Relationship Centered Practice: Ability to promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others.

  • Leadership: Ability to promote staff morale, engagement, and empowerment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
  • Equipment: Ability to operate computer systems, including Meditech and Windows-based programs, and other related equipment as required.
