About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Berry Homes Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the interior and exterior surfaces of our properties are beautifully finished and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure our properties remain in excellent condition.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion.
  • Client Communication: Advise clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, and provide excellent customer service to ensure their satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work at heights.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate client focus, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Experience: Have at least 7 months of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of painting and finishing techniques.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including residential and commercial properties.
  • Work Hours: Work 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
