Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in our long term and acute care facilities in the Orillia area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team and earn above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length, and 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital.
- Reliability and ability to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.
- Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
