We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in long term and acute care facilities in the Orillia area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage medications and narcotics, adhering to protocols on assigned shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for MMRV and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours, and ability to 'float' between units.
  • Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
  • Compliance with RhynoCare Healthcare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
