Maintenance Technician

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $19-$23 per hour, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive hourly wage, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- A yearly allowance of $1,500 for mental health and addiction services

This is a dynamic role that requires a skilled maintenance technician to perform general building and property maintenance duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and equipment
- Coordinating the day-to-day operation of the facilities department
- Performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
- Keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition, including heavy cleaning duties
- Tending to furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities, and notifying the Facilities manager of need for repairs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent number of years of education and facilities maintenance coordination experience
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is an asset
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Minimum 1 year experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Possess a valid driver's license
This role requires:
- 24/7 availability may be required
- Physical ability to lift up to 75lb
- Use of safety equipment, such as steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles
