Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify customer applications and programs that present an opportunity for SCHUNK Automation sales and propose solutions to these customers.
  • Maintain customer contact and information via CRM database.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular or prospective customers to solicit new orders.
  • Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize features likely to generate sales.
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare quotations for orders obtained.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and maintain expense reports.
  • Keep account activities and call reports up to date through CRM system.
  • Coordinate customer and distributor training.
  • Attend trade shows.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with or in the industrial market.
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Disciplined self-starter with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet sales goals and overcome potential rejection inherent to sales environment.

Education and/or Experience:
Automation, Mechatronic, or Robotics related diplomas; or two to four years outside sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Automation Industry.
