About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Barn Worker at HyLife Foods LP. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our barns and facilities, and contributing to the overall success of our farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient use of time
  • Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Handle animals with care and attention to their needs
  • Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management
  • Feed and tend to animals, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Maintain work records and logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring efficient and safe operations
  • Collect and analyze data and samples to inform decision-making
  • Document work completed and report any issues or concerns to management

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding work with repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
  • Large workload with overtime required
  • Sound discrimination and ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
