About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agricultural Livestock Service Specialist to join our team at HyLife Foods LP. As a key member of our swine farm operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our animals, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Feed and tend to animals, monitor their health, and develop specific plans to prioritize their care.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas, disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses, and maintain quality control and production records.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a loader and use hand tools to perform various tasks.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain work records and logs, and collect and analyze data and samples.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Hog and pig farming, outdoors, confined spaces, dusty, hot, noisy, odours, wet/damp, cold/refrigerated, livestock, all weather conditions, dirty.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Work Schedule: 74 to 80 hours bi-weekly.
