Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shift Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our food service operations.

Job Summary:

The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service or hospitality role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
