Job Summary

The Manufacturing Process Engineer at Masco Canada Limited is responsible for managing production floor processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, labor utilization, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, collaborating with equipment vendors as needed
  • Analyze and optimize workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for waste reduction and cost savings
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making and drive process improvements
  • Design and implement new tooling as required
  • Provide daily production support and troubleshooting
  • Develop standard operating procedures and assist in training
  • Provide manufacturing insights by analyzing production, labor, and material costs
  • Coordinate prototype and production runs through new program launches
  • Support the Engineering Change System through change analysis and approval
  • Support PPAP runs as needed
  • Assist in creating PFMEA, control plans, and other APQP/stage gate-related tasks

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or diploma
  • P. Eng preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment
  • PLC knowledge and programming an asset
  • Troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic prints an asset
  • Robotic experience an asset
  • CNC G-Code experience an asset
  • Strong project and time management skills with experience handling multiple projects
  • 2D layout and 3D CAD experience, Autocad Inventor preferred
  • Ability to lead and support cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with various manufacturing processes
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be self-motivated, and work in a team environment
