**Director of Site Reliability Engineering**

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead our SRE team and drive technology transformation for our business vertical. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing SRE solutions that ensure maximum system availability, rapid and precise remediation, and a bias towards automated systems to minimize disruptions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the vision for SRE product-base, including chaos engineering, anomaly detection, self-healing resiliency, and other key areas.
  • Partner closely with development teams to ensure connectivity and shared objectives to build more resilient and supportable platforms.
  • Ensure maximum system availability and rapid and precise remediation to issues, with a bias towards automated systems to minimize disruptions to our clients.
  • Proactive management and governance of our technology investment through a systematic metrics-based approach to drive improved scalability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Define License to Operate (LTO) and adherence to this standard to improve the soundness of our operating environment.
  • Provide expertise, direction, coaching, and development to build the team's capability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Prior in-depth experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise-wide banking platforms.
  • Extensive experience in a variety of environments, including Cloud, distributed, and mainframe, business workflows, and Services/APIs, databases.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor and 3rd party relationships to optimize services and ensure effective technology solutions.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership position with a track record of successfully managing complex enterprise environments and driving continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on experience in a variety of SRE languages and tools, including Ansible, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Blue Prism, Catch Point, Grafana, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • People leadership experience in the context of SRE and/or Application Development teams.
  • Industry-specific certifications, especially in SRE, are highly advantageous.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, and AI/ML also preferred.
