Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services for patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with dysphagia and communication disorders, including video fluoroscopic studies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence and self-advocacy.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario.
  • Experience in assessment and treatment of dysphagia, with a strong understanding of swallowing disorders and their impact on patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities.
