Position Overview:
In the role of Therapy Assistant, you will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreation therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Your contributions will be vital in delivering effective rehabilitation services that encompass a wide range of client needs, from promoting healthy living to supporting individuals with chronic conditions and end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of client-centered care across various health care settings.
- Engage in both direct and indirect client support activities.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery.
- Demonstrate professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program planning.
- Supervise and mentor students in training.
Required Qualifications:
A diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training is essential.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications may be considered as necessary.
