Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Membership Services team at the Shaw Festival Theatre. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Membership Services Manager in generating revenue and building relationships with our donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Membership Services Manager in developing and implementing strategies to increase membership revenue and retention.
  • Lead the Membership Services team as needed, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful execution of team goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, members, and other stakeholders to build trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and donors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of membership events, including hosting post-show chats and other select events.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including tracking of contacts, donations, and other key metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in membership development and fundraising.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in membership development, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, members, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with database management systems.
  • Knowledge of Tessitura or other CRM systems is an asset.
