Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting health and well-being in our communities.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in a community setting, providing care to clients with mental and physical handicaps. You will work independently, using your nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to clients with mental and physical handicaps in community settings
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in case management services, including assessment, monitoring, health teaching, support consultation, liaison, and referral
  • Ensure that the model of client self-care and independence is maintained
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • 3 years' experience in community home care or acute care nursing (RN) plus an equivalent combination of experience and post-basic education in nursing clients with mental handicaps
  • Current valid BC Driver's License
