Business Opportunities Manager

About the Role
The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Advisor Distribution division, you will be responsible for managing relationships and selling TD Asset Management strategies within an External Distribution territory.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with the Regional Vice President to co-manage an assigned territory of portfolio managers and investment advisors.
- Become an indispensable business partner by providing industry intelligence, business strategy, and sound investment counsel.
- Execute on the business plan, meet activity targets, and ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Develop new business and increase share of wallet within the region by proactively attracting, acquiring, and retaining customers.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners to maximize distribution effectiveness and provide a seamless client experience.
- Contribute to investment strategy and portfolio construction analytics.
- Stay up-to-date on TDAM products and key competitors.
- Uphold corporate and industry sales practices.
Requirements
- University degree.
- Preference given to industry accreditations (CFA, CIM, FCSI).
- 3+ years of industry sales experience.
- In-depth knowledge of both asset management and wealth management industries.
- Effective presentation and communication skills.
- Strong interest in capital markets.
- Excel in a sales environment.
- Fully fluent in French (for Quebec Region).
