We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Windsor-Essex Janitorial Inc. As a Janitorial Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Equipment Operation: Work with industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, and upholstery cleaning equipment.
  • Work Environment: Work in various locations, including factory or plant, office building, commercial building, shopping centre or mall, and health care institution, facility, or clinic.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle or valid driver's licence.
