About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Windsor-Essex Janitorial Inc. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate Equipment: Use industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, carpet cleaning machines, and polishing machines to efficiently clean and maintain facilities.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouching, kneeling, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Factory or plant, office building, various locations, commercial building, shopping centre or mall, health care institution, facility, or clinic.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle or vehicle supplied by employer.
Personal Suitability
  • Dependability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
