About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Windsor-Essex Janitorial Inc. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are free from clutter and debris.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Disinfection and Sanitation: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Work with industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, and upholstery cleaning equipment to maintain our facilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Factory or plant, office building, various locations, commercial building, shopping centre or mall, health care institution, facility, or clinic.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability.
