Job Title: Research and Development Planner

Maxsys is seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Planner to join our team in Ottawa's west end. As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple project teams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the manufacturing of cartridges and components
  • Attend regular R&D project meetings to discuss needs and changes
  • Provide weekly updates to the program team
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations to schedule R&D project work orders and communicate status as required
  • Schedule and track special orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Manage inventory of required materials, including disposal
  • Ensure compliance with Quality and EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Safeguard the environment and promote a safe and healthy workplace culture
Requirements:
  • College Diploma (3-year program) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of macros an asset
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily work to meet established schedules
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Judgment and decision-making skills, organization, coordinating, and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Database management experience
  • Production and inventory management experience
  • Demand planning experience
  • Material coordination experience
  • Familiarity with medical devices, their development, and use
  • Knowledge of ISO/FDA regulations
