About the NRC Indigenous Student Employment Program
The NRC Indigenous Student Employment Program provides students with practical career-related experience in research and development, engineering, technology, administration, library science, computer science, trades, business, technology advice services, finance, human resources, and other professions.
Job Description
As a student at the NRC, you will contribute to interesting projects in an environment where teamwork, initiative, and creativity are nurtured. Positions are offered across the NRC in various locations, with remote options available under certain circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain valuable work experience in your field of study
- Work on leading-edge projects of value to Canada
- Develop skills in research and development, engineering, technology, administration, and other areas
- Collaborate with experienced professionals and make meaningful contributions to projects
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions
Requirements:
- You must self-declare as an Indigenous person (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit)
- You must have obtained a High School diploma (or grade 12 equivalent)
- You must be studying at a recognized educational institution and returning to full-time studies in the next semester
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $600 to $1,299 per week (37.5 hours), determined based on the number of academic semesters completed. Additionally, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including access to superior equipment, facilities, and expertise.
