Job Summary

We are seeking a Health Care Professional - Clinical Support to join our team. As a member of the healthcare team, you will assist with patient/resident care and provide basic supportive care as directed. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and grooming
* Provide emotional support and comfort to patients/residents
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient/resident care plans
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

* Grade XII or equivalent education
* Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized educational institution
* Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, reliability and creativity
* Ability to work effectively within a changing environment and an interdisciplinary team
* English fluency in both written and verbal communication

Work Environment

This role involves shift work, extended working hours and may require exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, etc. A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check are conditions of employment.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be $64,485 - $71,374 per year, based on a 0.60 FTE and 7.75 hours worked per day. The WRHA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as a pension plan.
