Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Record Clerk to join our team at Greenlane Montessori Inc. in an urban area setting.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and be proficient in using manual and computerized systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and statements, using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including calculating fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field (e.g., accounting, finance).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
  • Skills:
    • Accurate and efficient record keeping.
    • Proficient in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
