About the Role

The University Health Network is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant II to join our team. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide high-level administrative support to our medical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to medical staff, including preparing and editing documents, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and medical records.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized medical or business post-secondary secretarial arts program at the diploma level.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical administrative role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
