About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team at PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing learning solutions that meet the needs of our employees and support the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop instructor-led courses and e-learning programs that align with business needs and learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create curricula and learning materials that are engaging and effective.
  • Assess participant needs and modify instructional strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Use rapid authoring tools to develop e-learning content and support instructor-led courses.
  • Develop and implement standards for course evaluation and quality improvement.
  • Provide company-wide support and consultation services on learning and development initiatives.
  • Manage the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of behavioral and technical courses or programs.
  • Research and apply best practices and industry trends to stay up-to-date on learning solutions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in training delivery and/or facilitation in a corporate environment.
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and practices.
  • Ability to deliver instructor-led courses to diverse groups of participants.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.
