About this role:

This is an individual contributor position based remotely in Canada, offering a unique opportunity to join the world's leading Research & Advisory company. As a Gartner analyst, you'll be part of a team that values curiosity, expert insights, bold ideas, and intellectual courage.

Key responsibilities:
  • Apply broad knowledge of current and emerging leadership trends to provide research and advisory to senior Infrastructure and IT Operations leaders globally.
  • Formulate and articulate technology and business adoption scenarios to help senior leaders embrace opportunities, risk, and approaches for modernizing infrastructure, systems, and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-team settings, including infrastructure colleagues, software engineering, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and CIO strategy analysts.
  • Demonstrate superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and drawing and defending conclusions.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
  • Recent experience as the senior most Infrastructure and/or IT Operations leader in a mid or large-sized organization is required.
  • Significant experience with people leadership topics, such as designing future-fit organization structures, skills, and talent management, and driving culture change via transformational initiatives.
  • Practical experience leading investments in cloud computing, delivering platforms and services to enable digital transformation, and connecting Infrastructure and IT Operations work to business outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data, applying patterns and frameworks, and drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges.
  • Experience with a wide range of environments from traditional to more leading-edge across a variety of industries and geographies is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team.
  • Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
