Project Manager Role and Responsibilities
CAE is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for controlling the progress of the project portfolio, identifying and optimizing critical paths, and leading proactive actions with key players to ensure overall viability of the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and align signals throughout the supply chain based on the S&OP for the entire project portfolio.
- Understand interdependencies within the manufacturing environment and with other groups.
- Identify and optimize critical project paths to ensure adherence to the overall production plan while respecting costs and schedule.
- Ensure adherence to the master plan and maintain an appropriate status report for all projects.
- Collaborate with Hardware Design Lead, Operational Project Manager, Production Planner, Production Cell Leader, Union Leader, and Supply Chain Business Partner to develop and implement solutions.
- Action engineering changes and collaborate to mitigate the impact on the project.
- Take the leadership to drive with Production Cell Leader and Union Leader to synchronize and optimize information flow and material flow.
- Be aligned with Production Cell Leader to identify and understand evolutive capacity and bottlenecks to plan execution accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering or administration.
- At least three to five years of relevant experience or training in the field.
- Good analytical skills.
- Teamwork-oriented and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and within schedule.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, colleagues, and internal customers.
- Be able to answer questions and present information to various stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with an ERP system, preferably Oracle.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet imposed deadlines autonomously.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to define problems, gather information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to understand different assembly sequences and identify critical paths.
- Ability to generate reports using databases (SQL, VBA, Power Query Language M, Power BI).
- Bilingualism in both French and English is required.
