Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Risk Data Science Officer to join our team at Promote Project. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk management strategy and ensuring the success of our financial services.

The Chief Risk Data Science Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven risk assessment models, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and deploy effective risk management strategies. You will also collaborate with product managers to align risk decisioning efforts with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine risk assessment models using advanced data science methodologies and tools.
  • Work with large and complex data sets to identify and solve challenging problems related to customer actions and risk decisioning.
  • Collaborate with product managers to design and deploy effective risk management strategies.
  • Engage in deep partnership with senior management to communicate findings and drive business decisions.
  • Manage controlled experiments (A/B/n tests) from design, data tracking and instrumentation, impact sizing, audience selection, and results analysis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in data science or analytics, preferably in fintech.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and underwriting principles.
  • Technical proficiency in one of Python or R in a data science context and SQL.
  • Ability to develop and optimize risk decision algorithms.
  • Experience conducting deep-dive statistical analysis and managing multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

We offer a competitive salary of $180,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and disability insurance, as well as generous vacation time. We also provide opportunities for professional growth and development, and a dynamic work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.

Based on our research, we estimate the average salary range for this position in Canada to be between $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and location. However, we are committed to offering a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills and qualifications.
