Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor of Admitting Reception to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for supervising the operations and staff of the admitting/reception area, ensuring accurate and efficient office procedures are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the operations and staff of the admitting/reception area
  • Ensure accurate and efficient office procedures are maintained
  • Direct clients/patients/family to the proper services
  • Report to the Provincial Leader of Supportive Care or Manager of Administrative Services
Requirements
  • Office Education/Secretarial certificate plus completion of a Medical Terminology course (OR) Medical Office Assistant certificate
  • One (1) year experience in a supervisory position (OR) two (2) years experience performing a variety of related administrative functions
  • Ability to assume responsibility for work over others on a daily basis
  • Ability to type proficiently
  • Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to operate a computerized data entry system
  • Ability to operate all types of office equipment
  • Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff
  • Ability to effectively communicate factual information both orally and in writing
  • Some Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a limited number of alternatives
  • Accuracy of fine motor movements for typing/data entry is required
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people
