Supervisor of Student Teachers

Position Summary
As a key member of the University of Regina's Faculty of Education, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising student teachers throughout the province. This role requires a high level of flexibility, as supervisors will be on call to meet the needs of student teachers in the field. The Professional Development & Field Experiences office will identify and assign student teachers to supervisors, who will act as liaison persons for the faculty. This involves providing resources, guidance, and support for cooperating teachers and interns. Supervisors are expected to be available to visit and provide support/guidance as needed by interns and/or cooperating teachers for the duration of the internship.
Remuneration
Remuneration for this position is based on the current rate of $614.62 per assigned intern student teacher, as per the URFA Collective Agreement.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Education and relevant experience in the education system. They should also have knowledge and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, as well as Faculty of Education programs. Proficiency with K-12 curriculum documents and current pedagogical approaches in the K-12 system are essential. Additionally, the candidate must have access to a personal vehicle.
