Nursery Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grower 2 at PRT Campbell River in Campbell River, BC. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in the production of high-quality forest seedling crops.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the production of forest seedling crops by applying effective forest nursery practices and principles.
- Operate computerized and other control systems to maintain accurate records and ensure efficient production.
- Maintain, repair, and upgrade nursery facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow a company-directed Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for pesticide application.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork among nursery workers to achieve production targets.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of greenhouse equipment and climate control systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Great organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Pesticide Applicator Certificate.
- A degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
- Relevant forest seedling nursery experience.
- Competitive hourly wage: $27.01 per hour.
