Nursery Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grower 2 at PRT Campbell River in Campbell River, BC. As a key member of our nursery team, you will assist with the production of high-quality forest seedling crops by applying effective forest nursery practices and principles.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the maintenance and repair of nursery facilities and equipment
- Operate computerized and other control systems to ensure efficient seedling production
- Follow a company-directed Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for pesticide application
- Collaborate with the nursery team to achieve production targets and evaluate achievement
- Provide basic maintenance of facilities and equipment
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of greenhouse equipment and climate control systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Great organizational and record-keeping skills
- Pesticide Applicator Certificate
- A degree in a related field or relevant work experience
- Relevant forest seedling nursery experience
- Competitive hourly wage: $27.01 per hour
