Facility Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Facility Patient Care Manager with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical health services and facility operations within a designated site or geographical area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve operational priorities, including financial sustainability, patient flow, patient experience, quality and safety, and staff engagement.
- Ensure strong communication pathways between staff, scheduling, and managers to facilitate effective decision-making and problem-solving.
- Reassign staff or request units/departments to provide service to care for patients and their families, as needed.
- Foster and facilitate interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships to ensure high standards of patient care through modeling care and service with compassion and respect.
- Make decisions and ensure staff availability based on sick calls and short-term scheduling impacts to maintain safe operation of clinical services, including working with agencies.
- Support the implementation and change initiatives, as well as manage emergency situations that arise and support staff well-being and communication protocols based on approved algorithms and pathways.
- In collaboration, plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of outside contractors as required.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a patient/resident/client care setting.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited post-secondary education institution is required.
- Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a strong understanding of the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.
- Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg (25 pounds).
- The incumbent must prioritize dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration.
- Travel to other healthcare facilities within the organization may be required. A valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license and access to a personal motor vehicle is required.
