Shared Health is seeking a skilled Facility Patient Care Manager to lead the delivery of safe and effective clinical health services and facility operations for a site/local geographical area within the region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to staff to achieve operational priorities, including financial sustainability, patient flow, patient experience, quality/safety, and staff engagement.
- Ensure strong communication pathways between onsite staff, scheduling, and managers.
- Reassign staff or request units/departments to provide service to care for patients and their families.
- Foster interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Make decisions and ensure staff availability based on sick calls and short-term scheduling impacts.
- Support implementation and change initiatives.
- Manage emergency situations and support staff well-being and communication protocols.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a patient/resident/client care setting.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited institution.
- Active membership in a relevant regulatory body.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work safely in a computerized office environment.
Shared Health leads the planning and coordination of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. We deliver some province-wide health services and support centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
