Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Patient Care Manager to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical health services and facility operations for a site/local geographical area within the region.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare leadership, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and implementing operational priorities. You will be responsible for fostering collaborative relationships with staff, scheduling, and managers to ensure seamless communication and effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and services
  • Develop and implement operational plans to achieve financial sustainability, patient flow, patient experience, quality/safety, and staff engagement goals
  • Collaborate with staff, scheduling, and managers to ensure effective communication and service delivery
  • Make decisions and ensure availability of staff based on sick calls and required short-term scheduling impacts to maintain safe operation of clinical services
  • Support implementation and change initiatives to improve patient care and services
  • Manage emergency situations and support staff well-being and communication protocols based on approved algorithms and pathways
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a patient/resident/client care setting
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited post-secondary education institution
  • Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a strong understanding of the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework
