Job Summary

Shared Health is seeking a skilled Facility Patient Care Manager to lead the delivery of safe and effective clinical health services and facility operations for a site/local geographical area within the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to staff to achieve operational priorities, including financial sustainability, patient flow, patient experience, quality/safety, and staff engagement.
  • Ensure strong communication pathways between onsite staff, scheduling, and managers.
  • Reassign staff or request units/departments to provide service to care for patients and their families.
  • Foster interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Make decisions and ensure staff availability based on sick calls and short-term scheduling impacts.
  • Support implementation and change initiatives.
  • Manage emergency situations and support staff well-being and communication protocols.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a patient/resident/client care setting.
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Active membership in a relevant regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work safely in a computerized office environment.
