About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Examiner – Property to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for managing commercial and personal property claims on a national level. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage claims from initial investigation to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate settlements
  • Analyze policy conditions, provisions, and endorsements to determine coverage and liability
  • Verify loss details and confirm coverage for assigned claims
  • Review and process estimates, invoices, and documentation for payment
  • Document claim files with relevant information and adhere to claim documentation standards
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records
  • Identify and pursue post-loss recovery opportunities to minimize claim losses
  • Prepare reports for management and reinsurers

Requirements:

  • College diploma or university degree completed
  • Enrolled in and working towards (F)CIP designation
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in property claims
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
