  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and execute menu plans to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality food service.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
