Referrals Analyst – Non EA

The Tsleil-Waututh Nation is seeking a highly skilled Referrals Analyst to join our Treaty, Lands and Resources Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and assessing land use decisions, proposed projects, and policies that may impact our territories, traditional use areas, and interests.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze referrals in accordance with the Tsleil-Waututh Nation Stewardship Policy.
- Assess potential impacts of proposed development projects, policies, or plans on our rights, title, and interests.
- Facilitate the environmental review of projects, plans, and policies proposed within our Consultation Area.
- Support the Consultation and Accommodation Manager in all other tasks.
- Post-secondary degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field, plus three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Indigenous consultation and negotiations processes is an asset.
- Previous experience working in an Indigenous community and/or organization is preferred.
- Proficient with computers, the Internet, and Microsoft Office Programs.
- Understanding of Indigenous rights and title, particularly in the context of B.C.
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
