Salary
The salary range for this Energy Management Specialist position is $63,654 - $77,975 per year, determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.
Job Description
As an Energy Management Specialist with BCNPHA, you will lead and coordinate projects related to building assets and develop new programs to sustain the non-profit housing sector. You will work closely with non-profit housing societies, providing technical support for energy efficiency and decarbonization retrofits.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leveraging our operational plan and strategic asset management plan to roll out and evaluate programs and services delivering building renewal projects, education, and energy benchmarking.
- Working with our Building Energy Analyst and non-profit housing societies to ensure data collection and analysis for business case development and potential project feasibility.
- Conducting energy audits, analyzing data, and writing reports to identify energy conservation measures and decarbonization opportunities.
- Providing technical support to non-profit housing providers to implement capital, energy efficiency, and decarbonization retrofits, including coordination with consultants, engineers, contractors, and utility companies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, applied science, arts, business, computer science, math, or data analytics.
- At least 2 years of professional working experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of energy analysis, energy conservation measures, decarbonization planning, low-carbon electrification, buildings, building construction, and building energy systems.
- Direct experience with building retrofit planning and implementation, as well as proficiency in software like Energy Star Portfolio Manager, RETScreen, or energy analysis datasets.

Other Information
