Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Manager to join our team at CanWel Building Materials. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for planning and executing day-to-day and period-end corporate treasury activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Company's cash flow forecasts, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring compliance with banking agreements and internal controls over cash management.
- Develop and support treasury policies and procedures, preparing, reviewing, and maintaining internal controls over cash management.
- Manage the Company's bank accounts, including working with various banks to maintain user access rights, signing authorities, and set up or cancel bank accounts as necessary.
- Review, approve, and release electronic disbursements, manage foreign currency exchange transactions, including hedging.
- Support cross-border cash transactions within the corporate group, including documentation of intercompany loans.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of corporate treasury management experience.
- Understanding and experience in treasury accounting, including liquidity, cash flow, and foreign exchange.
- Experience with cash flow forecasting in a complex multi-divisional, multi-currency organization.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
Education
- Post-secondary education in financial management.
- Treasury designation is an asset.
